Participants will discover basic electronics components and how to program a microcontroller using CircuitPython or MicroPython.
We’ll work on building a moving robot from scratch, starting with cardboard prototypes. Time allowing, we’ll also incorporate 3D printing, laser cutting, and other methods of fabricating parts.
Topics will include motors, sensors, mechanisms, and programming them to solve challenges.
Our goal is to develop a low-cost robot kit and foster a community of robotics enthusiasts!
Format: 5 weekly, 1.5 hour sessions
Prerequisites: Previous programming and making experience. Please talk to us before enrolling in this class.
