Do you love working with your hands? Then lets make something downright ridiculously cool!

Learn how to program a microcontroller to create LED light effects, plus create your own set of Bluetooth speakers!

Learn to solder and discover programmable electronics! Participants will discover basic electronics components and learn how to program a microcontroller (Pi Pico) using CircuitPython! We’ll create LED light effects and investigate making a fake keyboard or mouse! You will learn how to solder and create your own set of Bluetooth speakers- that you will get to keep and take home!

Participants will get to keep the Pi Pico they use, a breadboard, and a selection of electronic components!

This year we’re proud to be a Maker Camp by Make Community Partner! We will be including select content from Make:’s Maker Camp resource library to enrich our program to inspire further exploration!

For COVID safety windows will be open, and a minimum of tools will be shared. All shared items will be wiped down between people using them. As well, we will be following BC restrictions, including the requirement of all visitors 12+ to wear face masks.

Ages 11+ Max participants: 8

Dates: Monday to Friday: July 19-23rd 2021 from 1pm – 4pm or Monday to Friday: August 9-13th 2021 from 9am – 12pm

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. We will notify by e-mail and/or by phone before the camp is to begin. Full refunds will be given.
