Cleaning Your Mat

Step-by-Step

Once your mats lose their tack, don’t throw them out. Clean your Cricut mat and make it sticky again!!

Supplies & Tools
  • plastic scraper tool
  • Masking Tape
  • Lint roller
  • Spray Adhesive Multi-Purpose(LePage brand is the one we use)

Step 1: Cleaning your mat.

Remove the clean plastic cover from your mat. With the scraper, scrape the leftover material off the mat. Make sure to all of the hair(lint roller). With warm water rinse your mat. Then with a paper towel dab the mat dry.

Step 2: Taping your mat.

After the mat is dry, tape the edge of the cutting area with the masking tape.

Step 3: Spraying your mat.

Either outside or a well ventilated area, take you spray adhesive multi-purpose and spray the mat. Spray evenly, you want to avoid the adhesive pool in one area too much. Dry time 10 minutes.

TIP: Hold the can at an angle and about a foot away from the mat.

Step 4: Touch Test.

After 10 minutes touch the mat if it feels tacky then it is ready for your next project. Remove the tape and place the clean cover over the mat and you should be good to go!
