Social Contract

What is a Contract?


Group discussion: An agreement to do something.

What Does “Social” Mean?

  • Group discussion: To do with people; like studies, being in public.

So a “social contract” is…

An agreement about our behavior.

Our Social Contract

We will use quiet, calm voices.
We will take turns talking. We will use a talking item (eg the “talk-to-pus”.) If it’s too distracting, we’ll change the talk item.
Fidgets are ok, so long as they’re not distracting.
Video game time is limited. Some game freetime will be allowed.
No YouTube (or other videos) unless Julian or Drea are showing something.
We will have lots of breaks.

Structure Crusher (ADST)

We looked at a linear actuator.

Julian connected it to a battery and Logan tried to stop it from moving – it’s very strong!

We then discussed how it could be used to test different structures.
