In this fun packed session we’ll cover the basics and mine the depths of Minecraft using MCreator to create new blocks, items, advancements, mobs, recipes, tools, and more! Participants will explore the visual block based programming environment to create their own custom mods. Requires some prior programming experience- eg Scratch, Lego Mindstorms, MakeCode or similar. Those with more programming experience will be encouraged to challenge themselves to learn and use Java. After lunch, there will be crafts and games.
NOTE: A Minecraft Java Edition account is required. This is different from the Windows 10 “bedrock” or Xbox/iOS/Android versions. Please check with us first if you’re not sure which edition you have a license to.
